 Hampton Borough Environmental Committee

 

OBJECTIVES OF THE COMMITTEE:

  1. To promote the conservation and development of the natural resources of the borough.
  2. To plan, implement, and inform the public about local conservation programs.
  3. To compile and keep an index of all open areas, publicly or privately owned, including open marshlands, swamps, and other wetlands.
  4. To conduct research into the possible use of the open areas of the borough.
  5. To recommend to the Planning Board and/or Mayor and Borough Council plans and programs for inclusion in a Municipal Master Plan and the development and use of such areas.
  6. To act as the coordinating agency of the community on conservation matters and a liaison between local conservation needs and regional, state, and federal agencies ministering to those needs.
