Pete was born and raised in Hampton. He and his wife Debbie were married in Hampton. They have three grown children, Derek, Jill, and Peter. Also they are the proud grandparents of Alexis, Ashlee, Andrew, Madison, and Addison. Pete was appointed to Borough Council to serve an unexpired term in January 2010 and then elected Mayor, sworn in on January 2, 2012.

Councilman James Cregar, Borough Council President
Term Expires December 31, 2014.
Jim has lived in Hampton since 1985. Jim is married to Lisa and has two daughters. Jim was appointed to an unexpired term in March 1999.

Councilwoman Sarah McDougall
Term Expires December 31, 2012.
Sarah has lived in Hampton since 2002. She is married to Scott McDougall and has three sons, Zachary, Griffin and Devlin. Sarah was appointed to an unexpired term on Council in January 2011.

Councilman Carroll Swenson
Term Expires December 31, 2013.
Carroll has called Hampton home since 1975. He and his wife Chris raised four children here, Marie, Jan, Kirsten and Erik and they have 8 grandchildren. He has served as a Councilman for nearly twenty years. Carroll first served for 6 terms from January 1977 to December 1995. Carroll was appointed to an unexpired term in September, 2006, was elected to finish that term in November 2006 and took office for a full three year term in January 2008.

Councilman Peter Desch
Term Expires December 31, 2013.
Peter began serving on Borough Council when he was appointed to an unexpired term in January 2007. He was elected to his own full term in November 2007. Peter is married to Jen and has two daughters, Katie and Maggie. The Desch’s have lived in Hampton since 2000.
